Divine Revelation

Heb 9:8 "...the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing...."

Our relationship with our heavenly Father grows as our heavenly revelation grows... All heavenly revelations comes from our heavenly Father with whom there is no shadow of turning... Upon such revelations He build His people up and the gates of hell will not prevail against it... Divine revelation is progressive... When the heavenly revelation comes and when it gets into our heart of faith, we'll find the needed breakthrough... Divine revelation is very important...

Draw near to God in faith like Moses. Do not be like the Israelites who only worship God from a distance. Moses drew near, and he received the heavenly revelation of the Tabernacle. The Tabernacle represents the key to intimate relationship with God. The Israelites worshipped from a distance and received demonic revelation of the golden calf...

Psalm 84:5-7
" ...Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion... "

Some translation set Baca as "weeping", some translated as "blessings".
Set our hearts to know and love God no matter the circumstances, no matter we are going through the Valley of Weepings or the Valley of Blessings. Let our relationship with our dear heavenly Father go from strength to strength til we see Him face to face...

"Dear Holy Spirit, reveal to us more and more of the Father's love and character. Reveal to us our destiny in Christ. Reveal to us more about You too. Like Enoch, I pray for revelations upon revelations and we will go from strength to strength in our walk with You till we see Your Face. In the beloved name of Jesus, Amen. "

Just Shake It Off

Matthew 10:13-15 "And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet."

Many a times we encountered things that really get into us... Things that really try to irritate or hurt us. Even as much as how we try, there will be people in this earth who don't appreciate us, who don't understand us and who don't like us very much... Jesus has His fair share of rejection and criticism that was hurled at Him. As much as there are people who like Him, there were also those who don't like Him very much for who He is, the good works that He did. And Jesus understands what you are going through right now. And He offered a solution... just shake it off... Shake off that poison that is trying to get into you...

Let's accept it. Let's stop wasting our precious time making sure people understands you or meeting your needs. Sometimes the more we tried, the more we are despised. Let's shake it off once and for all! Let's not be infected by people who try to pull us down but let's affect others with the love and joy of God.

We know sometimes doing that by ourselves is not easy. But we can always come humbly before God and ask for His strength and grace for times like these. He will hear us.

Psalm 69:33 " ...For the LORD hears the poor. And does not despise His prisoners... "

"Father, I pray as we come to you, give us strength to overcome every weaknesses of our lives. Help us to overcome our own insecurity and give us peace. I don't know how You are going to do it, just do it... show us Your wisdom in the steps to take. Vindicate us, promote us LORD. The path of the righteous is ordered by You. Lead us in the way everlasting... We surrender all to You... In Jesus's Name Amen."

Beauty for Ashes

Isaiah 61: 1 "....He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted..."

Our God has a very kind heart... He is the good Doctor... He heals all physical infirmities and emotional dysfunctionality... There is none like Him.

A broken heart is a result of a dislocated appointment... a dis-appointment... Sometimes what you really hope to see appointed does not come to pass and you get discouraged and depressed... Medical science has shown that a bulk of sicknesses originated from a sick heart... God wants to heal your sick heart...

Proverbs 13:12 "...Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life..."

God wants to fulfil the longings of your heart. It is not in His character to delay the fulfilment of your desire, if we remain obedient to Him... sometimes it could just be the timing of things.

Will you come to Him and give Him some time to heal your broken heart...? If a bird has a broken wing, He would not crush it but nurse the bird until it could fly again.

Isaiah 42:3 "...A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench..."

"Dear Jesus, we place our broken heart in your hands, trusting that all things work for the good of those who loves You and are called according to Your Purpose... You know our beginning and our end... Lead us to Your Heart where there's healing... In Jesus's Name Amen. "

Be Spiritually minded

Dictionary describes carnality as the lowest form of human life, "pertaining to or characterized by the flesh or the body, its passions and appetites; sensual". From Maslow's hierachy of needs, survival is at the lowest ground. Hence, to be carnally minded is to only think about yourself, your own survival, Self-centeredness. Dictionary describes spirituality as "Relating to or having the nature of spirits or a spirit". If you put this into Christian context, it means "having the nature of God." Or in other words, having the mind of Christ. Christ-centeredness.

The Bible says there is an invisible battle over each man's soul and also within their soul. This is the tug of war between being carnally minded and being spiritually minded.

But thank God! Thank GOD that, as believers, we have divine help from the Holy Spirit who "helps in our weaknesses... Himself makes intercession FOR US with groanings which cannot be uttered." Rom 8:26. Wow... Other religions say, "Help youself". But there is no one like our loving Father God who helps His people...

The Holy Spirit in you helps you to develop the nature of God... He helps you to develop the mind of Christ... 1 Cor 2:16 For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ."

No one know the deep things inside of you except your inner man (your spirit)... Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God... And the Spirit of God living inside you knows the mind of God... Rom 8:27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of GOD.

The Holy Spirit knows the will of God for you... He is always making intercession FOR US 24/7 that our destiny in God will be fulfilled... Our God is a good God so the plans He devises are always good.

"Father God, I thank You that You are such a loving Father who never slumbers until you see the destiny we have in You unfold before Your very eyes... I pray that we will come into the full knowledge of Your love. And perfect love cast out fear. So I speak against Fear, begone! In Jesus's Name Amen!"

What Price for a Soul?

Matthew 26:9 "This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor."

The story of the worshipper Mary who poured her whole life's savings at the feet of Jesus was looked upon with disgust by the thief Judas Iscariot. Everywhere the gospel is being preached, this story of the lives of two different persons are being told. Who are they actually?
Mary Magdalene was a woman prostitute whom Jesus cast out 7 demons from, whose brother Lazarus was raised back to life from the dead. Her encounter with Jesus was only probably less than a year. Judas Iscariot was a disciple of Jesus Christ following Jesus's ministry on earth for 3 years. Look how different their response were! One was full of gratitude and brokenness, the other full of pride and hypocrisy.
Hey wait... didn't Judas wanted to use the money to help the poor? Here in lies his hypocrisy. Judas was a thief who had been helping himself to Jesus's ministry bank account. He pocketed bits of money from the donations of some of Jesus's rich sponsors. When he saw that the perfume Mary poured onto Jesus's feet could have been converted into real money and be donated into the treasury, he cried out with pity! His concern wasn't for financial help that could be given to the poor but the financial gain he could pocket from it. A man who has been walking 3 years with God, who had seen God, touched God could still not understand the heart of God.
God's heart is for the lost souls of mankind... His heart is for you... What does Christmas mean to you?... Christmas to Jesus is when He broke the alabaster flask in heaven and came down to earth for you...

"Dearest Loving Father, I pray that we become people who comes to you with a true and clean heart and who understands your very heart of hearts. That You came to seek and save the lost. Give us a deep compassion for the lost and break our hearts for what breaks Yours. In Jesus's Name Amen."

Be Still in God's Presence

Psalm 131 : 1-2
LORD, my heart is not haughty,
Nor my eyes lofty.
Neither do I concern myself with great matters,
Nor with things too profound for me.
Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul,
Like a weaned child with his mother;
Like a weaned child is my soul within me.

This is a love song by King David to our God. David was a man after God's own heart. How was he being elevated to that position of closeness to God? Because he knows how to seek the face of God, in good times and in bad times. In this love song, King David gave us the 7 keys in his fellowship with God.
There are 4 No you don't do when you want to fellowship with God.
1. No haughtiness before God.
Dictionary describes haughtiness as the state of being "disdainfully proud; snobbish; scornfully arrogant". It is the sinful attitude of exalting your ideas and opinion above God's. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. People with such attitudes can never never be friends with God. Ps 18:27 You save the humble but bring low those whose eyes are haughty.
2. No lofty eyes before God.
A person with lofty eyes thinks he is better than others and sometimes even better God! Yes. Are you surprised? God will not receive a man with unforgiveness in his heart. Because God is someone who loves to forgive. You love to associate with someone like you. So does God. He loves to associate with somone who loves to forgive. If God can forgive you, you mean are you better than God to not to forgive the person? Jesus said, "Why do you criticise at the speck of wood in your brother's eye when you have a plank of wood in your own eyes?" People with a plank sticking out of their eyes always hit others wherever they turn.
3. No concern of great matters.
These are the great distractions of our lives. Do you sometimes in the middle of your fellowship with God, all of a sudden something undone pops into your mind and you started to fix that before coming back to fellowship? The Enemy sometimes shoot these distractions to prevent a fruitful and enjoyable time with God. Imagine King David having great political matters waiting at his desk but he chose to set them aside to seek God at that moment. Why not write them down and get back to them after your time with God? You wouldn't like your girlfriend or boyfriend to give you divided attention, neither would God!
4. No profound things.
Profound things are things like what is going to happen tomorrow, what are we going to eat later, who am I going to marry or some unanswered theological questions, for example, "are there aliens in outer space?" Profound things are things we don't know and when the time comes for you to know you will know. Do away with all these distractions!!

There are 3 Yes when you fellowship with God.
1. Calm youself
Rather than choosing to be worry and anxious. Choose to calm yourself down. Instead of coming to God with a verbal diarrhea list. Let's be composed and draw near to listen and hear what the Spirit is saying.
Ecc 5:2 Do not be rash with your mouth, And let not your heart utter anything hastily before God. For God is in heaven and you on earth.
Pro 17:27 He who has knowledge spares his words, And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.
2. Quieten your soul
Quiet your soul, silence the other voices, and hear God's voice speaking to your heart. God wants to speak to us. He is our loving Father, He so much wants to speak to you than you want to speak to Him. He will speak to you.
Ps 107:30 Then they are glad because they are quiet; So He guides them to their desired haven.
3. Like a weaned child
What is your picture of a weaned child? Imagine yourself like a baby weaning at your mother's breast. A weaning child is oblivious to what's happening in her surroundings. She is totally dependent on her mother's protection and food. She trust her mother totally. When we come before God to draw from Him the spiritual nourishment, let us draw near Him with a true heart in full assurance of faith. When we approach God like this, He will teach us His ways. Ps 25:9 He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.

Let us examine ourselves and let's come spend some quiet moments with God now.
"Lord I pray that whoever hears these words will come to a new level of intimate relationship with You. That our fellowship with You will become even more dynamic and may Your holy Presence be here and speak to us. In Jesus's most beloved name. Amen."
